Dr Aalya Al-Assaf
Aalya is an Evidence Synthesis Analyst at NIHR Innovation Observatory. She has a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery from Baghdad University in 2007 with two years of clinical experience in Baghdad, Iraq. She was awarded an MSc in Public Health from the University of Brighton in 2014. She performed and participated in several systematic reviews. At the Department of Medical Education at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), Aalya used to teach Master’s students about systematic reviews and literature search, run systematic review workshops, and also supervise masters students’ dissertations. In March 2017, she was awarded an MRes in Medical Research from the BSMS. She also has a PGCert (equivalent) in Medical education from the BSMS and she is a member of the Academy of Medical Educators. She started her role at the NIHR Innovation Observatory in May 2017.
