James is a Market Analyst at NIHR Innovation Observatory. Prior to joining the team, James worked as a healthcare consultant across a number of specialty areas including drug safety, benefit-risk evaluation and market access. Originally from the USA, he received a BS in Cell and Molecular Biology before attending Tulane University Law School and earning his juris doctor. His undergraduate thesis focused on the role of human marrow stromal/mesenchymal stem cells in tissue grafts, while his law school training centred on intellectual property and a specialization in Admiralty & Maritime law. James also studied for an MPhil at Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge. He was admitted to practice by the New York State Bar Association in July 2013.
