Dr Sarah Khan
Sarah is an Evidence Synthesis Analyst at NIHR Innovation Observatory. She has a background in medicine, having done her MBBS (Bachelors in Medicine, Bachelors in Surgery) in Pakistan in 2011. She did her house job in the departments of surgery, medicine and anesthesia at one of the largest government hospitals in Lahore. She then turned to academics, teaching Anatomy for a year and Biochemistry for two years at CMH Lahore Medical College. With an interest in international health, she graduated from Karolinska Institutet in Sweden with a masters in Global Health in 2016. Humanitarian interests led her to join Medicins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders) with whom she worked for 7 months in a remote area in Pakistan. She worked as a blogger for This Week in Global Health (TWiGH) and currently works as a new writer at the Global Health Next Generation Network (GHNGN) and as a partnerships manager at the Swedish Organization for Global Health (SOGH).
