Dr Sheila Wallace
Research Fellow
Sheila is a Research Fellow (Cochrane Information Specialist) in the Evidence Synthesis Group working with the Innovation Observatory, aligned to the Information Research (IR) Programme. Her role includes the supervision of information specialists conducting searches for the Newcastle NICE External Assessment Centre (EAC). The NICE EAC independently assesses the evidence, both clinical and economic, related to innovative medical technologies such as devices and diagnostics. These evidence assessments inform NICE advice and guidance. She also contributes to the wider projects of the IR Programme. She is the Cochrane Information Specialist and an Editor for the NIHR-funded Cochrane Incontinence review group.
She has over 25 years’ experience as an information specialist in evidence synthesis. Her research interest is in the area of information specialist methods.
