Prof Dawn Craig
Dawn is the Director of the Innovation Observatory and lead of the Evidence Synthesis Group, Population Health Sciences Institute. She plays an active role in the development, strategic management, and delivery of the Innovation Observatory, working across all the programmes and stakeholders. Since the inception of the Innovation Observatory in 2017 she has played a leadership role, supporting the team to provide strategic insight on the health and care innovation landscape to national stakeholders, academia and industry, and to exploit AI and novel methods to enhance accessibility and transparency of available intelligence/evidence.
Dawn has a BA (hons) in Business Economics from Portsmouth University and an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York. She has extensive experience in HTA, with a particular focus on evidence synthesis/decision modelling.
She has a research focus and is keen to exploit research opportunities in leveraging the data, intelligence and evidence collated in our horizon scanning activities to further research in this fast-growing field – from data retrieval and analysis, to AI tool development.
