Dr Katie Thomson
Research Associate
Katie is a Senior Research Associate in the Evidence Synthesis Group and ARC Fellow working within the Innovation Observatory, aligned to the Medicines and Insights Programmes. She contributes to outputs through the writing, editing and quality assessment of Technology Briefings. She also contributes to the Insights Programme Imagine Series, focusing on patient, public and practitioner unmet need. As a member of the Evidence Synthesis Group, she contributes to systematic review and evidence synthesis research projects
Katie has an academic background, focusing on using systematic review methodologies to answer important public health questions. She has a particular research focus on health inequalities, and also employs mapping techniques to quantify and analyse spatial patterns in health data.
