Shona Haston

Research Assistant

Shona is a Research Assistant aligned to the Devices, Diagnostics and Digital Programme. She contributes to various horizon scanning projects, utilising different techniques to identify, monitor and report emerging innovative health technologies. 

Shona completed her MEng in Mechanical with Biomedical Engineering at Newcastle University before going on to study for her PhD in Biomedical Engineering, focusing on orthopaedic implants. She is interested in the development and regulation of novel health innovations, particularly medical devices, and is keen to apply this to her work at the Innovation Observatory.
